Throughout her life, Elsy Molina faced challenges with strength and determination, unaware that this attitude was called resilience. Upon arriving in the United States, she had the opportunity to work with various social groups in vulnerable situations, exposed to unresolved traumatic experiences. It was then that she noticed that while many organizations offered therapeutic services, there was also room for something different—programs focused on activities that empowered individuals to overcome difficult events and reconnect with their inner strength.
These activities did not follow a traditional therapeutic process but instead focused on helping people discover, through their healthy side, what they were capable of achieving. By participating in activities of their own choosing, they began to regain their confidence and self-esteem.
She had the opportunity to work with people who had faced various traumatic experiences, such as armed conflicts, migration processes, divorce, rehabilitation from alcohol and drug use, and survivors of domestic violence. Through these activities, many of them were able to shed the labels of the past, rediscovering their strength and ability to move forward. Additionally, these programs not only promoted individual transformation but also laid the groundwork for developing social prevention initiatives, contributing to the creation of more resilient and connected communities.
Convinced that self-confidence is built through action and moments that spark joy, she decided to develop resilience-based programs. Seeing the positive results, she felt motivated to involve others who shared this vision, and together, they have worked to create a space where people can heal, grow, and transform.
We promote resilience as a tool for change by developing programs that prevent risks, provide support, and foster the inclusion of people in social vulnerability. Our goal is to help them rediscover their inner strength, overcome challenges, and, together, build a more just and inclusive world.
To strengthen the potential of each individual through their connection with family and community, fostering solidarity and active participation to build more balanced, just, and connected communities.
